TECCELL by Gifu Plastics in Japan with EconCore Technologies

Gifu Plastics presented on the New Materials exhibition in Tokyo the first further processed panels for logistics and packaging markets in Japan under the name TECCELL.
TECCELL is made from thermoplastic polymers by EconCore's continuous production technology enabling outstanding high productivity. The honeycomb core material allows saving energy by reducing the weight of the logistic and packaging materials while achieving high performance.
As announced already in August 2008, Itochu had concluded a sublicensing agreement for the Japanese logistics and packaging markets with Gifu Plastic Industry Co., Ltd., a leading general manufacturer of plastics in Japan. Gifu Plastic invested in 2008 in a full production line for the production of ThermHex thermoplastics honeycomb panels for their logistics and packaging products.
Gifu Plastics plans to launch its first products that employ the new technologies on the market prior to the summer of 2009.
